These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of One Remote (“the App”) provided by Vorith Studio (a trade name operated by Vincent Oliver Veran, Philippines) (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
1. Eligibility
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
If you are under 13 (or under the minimum age where you can legally consent to the processing of personal data in your country), you may use the App only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Your parent or guardian is responsible for your use of the App and for reviewing these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the applicable store terms (Google Play Terms of Service or Apple Media Services Terms).
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works except as permitted by law
- Circumvent licensing, security, or access controls
- Resell, rent, or sublicense the App
- Use the App unlawfully or to control devices you do not own or lack permission to use
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. What the App does
One Remote helps you control compatible smart TVs and devices on your local network. Compatibility depends on TV brand, model, firmware, and network setup. We do not guarantee every TV or feature will work.
You are responsible for having permission to control devices on your network.
4. Free tier, ads, and Pro
Free tier may display Google AdMob advertisements (banner and interstitial) subject to your consent choices where required by law.
Pro is a non-consumable in-app purchase (product ID one_remote_pro by default) sold through Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS). Pro removes ads and unlocks features described in the store listing and in the App at purchase time (for example multi-TV switching and layout editing).
- Prices are shown at purchase time in your local currency.
- We may add or adjust Pro features in app updates; that does not entitle you to a refund except as allowed by the store’s policies.
- Purchases are tied to your store account. Use Restore purchases on a new device with the same account.
- We do not use external payment processors for digital goods inside the App.
Refunds
Who processes refunds. All Pro charges are handled by Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS). We cannot charge your card, issue refunds, or see your full payment details. Refund eligibility, timing, and amounts are decided by the store under its policies, not by us.
How to request a refund

Include the app name (One Remote), product (Pro / one_remote_pro), and purchase date. Keep your receipt or order ID if the store asks for it.
If you contact us. Email vorithstudio@gmail.com with the subject Purchase help — One Remote if you are unsure which store path to use or if Restore purchases does not reflect a valid purchase. We can explain how Pro works and point you to the correct store refund flow; we cannot override Google or Apple’s refund decision.
Not a subscription. Pro is a one-time purchase. There is no recurring subscription to cancel. Uninstalling the App does not refund Pro and does not remove your entitlement while the store still shows the purchase as active.
After a refund is granted. The store revokes the Pro entitlement. The App returns to the free tier (including ads where shown) on the next entitlement check or after you restart the App. We do not keep a separate paid account on our servers.
EU / UK consumers. Mandatory consumer laws in your country may give you rights (for example a withdrawal period for distance contracts). For digital content delivered immediately, stores often require you to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery starts. Those rules are applied by Google or Apple on their checkout; see their terms and refund pages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited by contract.
Chargebacks and disputes. Raise payment disputes with your store or card issuer using their process. Misuse of chargebacks may lead the store to restrict your account.
5. Updates and availability
We may release updates for security, compatibility, or features. The App may not work on all devices, OS versions, or TV models. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
6. Intellectual property and third-party brands
The App, including software, design, trademarks, and “One Remote”, is owned by Vorith Studio (trade name of Vincent Oliver Veran) or licensors.
No affiliation. The App can control some smart TVs and devices using manufacturer protocols. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Samsung, LG, Hisense, Google, Apple, or other TV or platform brands. All third-party names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.
The App may include open-source software. Licenses for those components are available in the App or on request at vorithstudio@gmail.com.
7. Third-party services
The App uses Google AdMob, store billing, and TV manufacturer protocols. Third-party terms and privacy policies apply. See our Privacy Policy.
8. Accessibility
We aim to make the App usable for more people. If you have difficulty using One Remote because of accessibility barriers, contact vorithstudio@gmail.com with the subject Accessibility — One Remote and describe the issue and your device/OS version. We will consider reasonable improvements but cannot guarantee every accommodation.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VORITH STUDIO (TRADE NAME OF VINCENT OLIVER VERAN) WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR PRO IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) PHP 500 (or local equivalent).
Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us from claims arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the App or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Surviving sections include disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
EU/UK consumers: You retain mandatory protections of your country of residence.

14. Changes
We may update these Terms and the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
15. General
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the App.
Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights without our consent.
